Cherrycreek Manor Park (near Brooktree and Brookcrest)

One of our Brooktree Creek Mallards

These mounds are for jumping bikes. But, is that bicycles or motorcycles?? These were about chest high ...about 4 1/2 feet high until the Park District leveled them.

The standing water in parks can become a mosquito hatchery. And with West Nile Virus being a growing problem in the Central Valley. we need to all be aware of problems like this.
This was a full-fledged dam. Downed tree limbs had caused the brush in the creek to collect here. This was cleaned out, but will be back again.

In this photo you see a shopping cart, a brush dam, and a tree limb broken and down on the walk path. The dam and cart were removed, and the limb ended up in the creek creating a new dam. It was later removed
