Update 8/16/2010:
This morning's
Sacramento Bee has an article announcing our Keynote speaker at Thursday's
Association meeting. Sacramento County District Attorney,
JAN SCULLY,
will speak on the topic "The Perfect Storm" that is brewing as a result of
the important changes taking place throughout the County, and how they
will impact our community. A message we may not like to hear, but one
that we all NEED to hear.
The Bee article
incorrectly indicates a starting time of 7:30, but you all know we start
at 7:00 PM. As the sponsoring Association, we've invited all of the 10
other Neighborhood Associations in Citrus Heights to join us, and for that
reason, our meeting will be held at the new Community Center:
6300 Fountain Square
Drive, next to the post office and Sam's Club.
We chose this location
in order to accomodate the expected larger crowd. Thus far, we know that
our Mayor, City Council Members, City Manager, and Chief of Police will be
there. We also know that the anticipated attendance is GROWING bigger
every day. For that reason, we need Area 5 to be the gracious hosts, and
show up in big numbers!
Again, the
starting time is 7:00 P.M
and we WILL start on time. Be early, and PLEASE show up in BIG numbers
reflecting the pride we all have in our Park Oaks Neighborhood
Association.
